The Board Room saw the installation of 3.3 linear meters of solid partitions. These partitions, built using 75mm Logika 3000 partition walls in RAL 9005 black, consisted of 15mm sound bloc plasterboard on either side of a 45mm stud, complete with 46dB acoustic insulation. These partitions were skillfully tape-jointed and made ready for painting. It's worth noting that these partitions featured a 40mm aluminum RAL9005 skirting.
In the same Board Room, 4.7 linear meters of single-glazed, 12mm laminated acoustic glass were incorporated to achieve a 38dB sound rating. These glass panels were meticulously installed within a Logika 3000 partition system in Black 9005, adding both visual appeal and soundproofing.
Moving to the Store Room, 6.2 linear meters of solid partitions were meticulously installed. Similar to the Board Room, these partitions featured a 75mm Logika 3000 wall system in RAL 9005 black. They consisted of 15mm sound bloc plasterboard on either side of a 45mm stud and included 46dB acoustic insulation. Once again, these partitions were tape-jointed and prepared for painting. The skirting here was also a 40mm aluminum RAL9005.
Within the Store Room, there was an additional 0.9 linear meters of single-glazed, 12mm laminated acoustic glass incorporated into the Logika 3000 partition system in Black 9005. This added further soundproofing, ensuring privacy and functionality in the workspace.
In the kitchen, 1.4 linear meters of solid partitions were installed. These partitions followed the same RAL 9005 black 75mm Logika 3000 system with 15mm sound bloc plasterboard and 46dB acoustic insulation. Tape-jointing readied them for painting, and as in other areas, the skirting was a 40mm aluminum RAL9005.
Similar to the other spaces, the kitchen also received 1.8 linear meters of single-glazed, 12mm laminated acoustic glass within the Logika 3000 partition system, enhancing the aesthetics and soundproofing.
Various doors were installed in different spaces. This included three 838mm Anthracite laminated doors fitted with 1500mm x 150mm Ash Lipped Vision panels. The frames of these doors were paint-grade, and they featured satin stainless steel door furniture. In the Board Room, one 12mm Toughened Glass Door with a 33dB sound rating was skillfully set within a Logika 3000 aluminum frame. This door featured self-closing side-hung hinges with a hold-open facility and included a satin stainless lock/lever.
In the Comms Room, 6.1 linear meters of solid partitions were carefully installed. These partitions, matching the others in RAL 9005 black, used the 75mm Logika 3000 wall system with 15mm sound bloc plasterboard and 46dB acoustic insulation. Once again, these partitions were tape-jointed and ready for painting, with a 40mm aluminum RAL9005 skirting.
Various other details included the installation of Crittal Effect Stick on Bars, boxing in pipe work in the kitchen, applying manifestation, and preparing for TV and kitchen wall units.
For the kitchen in the ground floor office, a range of fixtures and appliances were supplied and installed as per the design, including a Lamona Black Strona Angled Monobloc Tap, a Matt Black Granite Inset 1.5 Bowl Sink, and various base and wall cabinets, appliances, and accessories. The installation also required additional pipe work beyond the CAT A fitout allowance.
In the electrical domain, a dedicated 16amp supply was provided for a Quooker tap, additional double sockets were installed in the kitchen and board room area, under-cabinet LED lighting was added in the kitchen, and more double sockets were placed within the perimeter trunking. Moreover, a floor box was provided for the board room table, and NICEIC electrical certification was given upon completion of the electrical works.
Data, AV, and TV needs were addressed with the installation of Cat 6 points throughout the perimeter trunking and existing floor boxes, as well as Cat 6 points in the ceiling. A freestanding comms cabinet was supplied and installed, equipped with patch panels. Additionally, HDMI and Cat 6 links were set up for the board room TV.
All new partitions received a fresh coat of 3 coats of Dulux trade white emulsion to give the space a clean and inviting look.
An additional 5 square meters of Tarket Id Loose Lay flooring was added to the larger tea point area. After all the construction work, a thorough builders' clean was carried out to ensure the workspace was pristine and ready for use.
The project's management spanned an 8-week contract, including preliminary setup, material ordering, site meetings, and the guidance of a working foreman. CAD designs were employed to ensure the project was well-organized and met all necessary requirements.
